There was a time when I felt like I had no control over my life- overwhelmed, stuck, and unsure where to even begin. Between the chaos of family, work, and everything in between, I couldn't figure out how to put myself first.
At my heaviest, I weighed 185 pounds, wore a size 12, and was permanently stuck in yoga pants.
I tried every quick fix — crash diets, pills, trending fads — but nothing stuck. Over time, I convinced myself fitness just wasn’t for me.
Like so many women, I was carrying the weight of everything around me: raising a family, supporting my husband’s demanding career, PTA meetings, ballet recitals, karate practices, holidays — it felt endless.
The truth was simple — I wasn’t even on my own priority list.
When I landed a leadership role as a director — what I thought was my dream job — the pressure only grew and it was anything but a dream. Instead it was long hours, constant demands, and still trying to be everything to everyone left me completely drained.
One morning, I woke up and realized: Everyone else was dictating my life —
That day, something shifted, I got out of bed and joined a cycling class at the gym down the street.
That moment, that class, started my fitness journey. It wasn’t just the workout — it was about being seen and valued as an individual again. I was finally proving to myself that I had dreams worth chasing, and a life that deserved my own time, energy, and belief.
Every morning at 4:30 AM before the world woke up, I claimed one hour for myself from then on. No matter how chaotic the day became, that hour was mine — my attitude, my energy, and my commitment.
My transformation didn’t happen overnight — it was a series of small, consistent and intentional changes. The road could be overwhelming, hard, and sometimes lonely—but I made a promise to myself: I would no longer be an afterthought in my own life.
LeadHER Fitness was born from my personal journey. It’s not about quick fixes or “get skinny fast” gimmicks. It’s about earning health, living it, and leading by example. I’m not just doing this for me. I’m showing my children what self-respect, resilience, and self-worth look like in action.
I created LeadHER Fitness to help you reclaim your physical, mental, and emotional strength.
To remind you that you are allowed to take up space. To empower you to prioritize your needs and dreams. Because you don’t have to choose between showing up for others and showing up for yourself — caring for yourself doesn’t take away from others; it strengthens your ability to care for them.
Because when you show up for yourself every single day, even when it’s hard...you don’t just become strong.
You become a LeadHER.
